Drying Roses with Drying Equipment

Drying Methods

1. Temperature Control:When using drying equipment, precise temperature control is crucial. In the initial stage, set the temperature at 35 – 40°C. This temperature allows the moisture in the roses to evaporate slowly while retaining the color and aroma of the petals. During the drying process, as the moisture decreases, the temperature can be gradually increased to 50 – 55°C to speed up the drying process. However, be careful to avoid excessive temperature, which may cause the petals to discolor or lose their aroma.

2. Time Setting:The drying time depends on the quantity of roses and the power of the equipment. Generally, a small amount of roses takes about 6 – 8 hours to dry. If drying in batches, the time may be extended to 10 – 12 hours. It is necessary to regularly check the drying degree of the roses to prevent over – drying.

3. Placement Method:Place the roses evenly on the trays of the drying equipment, ensuring that there is enough space between each flower to allow hot air to circulate fully, which can ensure uniform drying.

Advantages

1. High – efficiency and Speed:Compared with natural air – drying, drying equipment greatly shortens the drying time. Natural air – drying may take several days, while the drying equipment can complete the drying in just a few hours, improving production efficiency.

2. Stable Quality:The drying equipment can precisely control the temperature and humidity, avoiding the impact of changes in humidity and temperature in the natural environment on the quality of roses. It ensures that each batch of dried roses can maintain a consistent color, aroma, and shape.

3. Hygiene and Safety:Drying in a closed drying equipment reduces contact with pollutants such as dust and insects, ensuring the hygiene of the roses and making them more in line with food safety standards.
